These are pictures of me before and after surgery. Through the years I gained weight & tried to lose weight. I was thin until I got pregnant. I gained over 80 lbs. during my pregnancy, carrying way over term and passing the last of 3 due dates by 3 additional weeks. That was the beginning of my health problems. Over 15 years I developed new health problems and continued to gain weight to the point of it affecting my functionality in everyday life. These are pics of me & my son, a week before he left for boot camp with the
Marines.
I didn't realize it at the time, but we had them taken on my 3 year
anniversary.
The following pics were taken Labor Day weekend at the 2003 National WLS Convention in Nashville, TN. I was 2 years out and maintaining between 139-143 lbs.
