These are pictures of me before and after surgery.  Through the years I gained weight & tried to lose weight.  I was thin until I got pregnant.  I gained over 80 lbs. during my pregnancy, carrying way over term and passing the last of 3 due dates by 3 additional weeks.  That was the beginning of my health problems.  Over 15 years I developed new health problems and continued to gain weight to the point of it affecting my functionality in everyday life.  This surgery I did for me for the the child I wanted to see grow up and prosper in his own life.

I didn't realize it at the time, but we had them taken on my 3 year anniversary.

Wow how time flies! Over 7 years out, healthy, and I have to work at it, but maintaining my weight well.  This surgery saved my life, as I would surely have been dead, without a doubt, a few years ago.  I am sure to help anyone I can who needs surgery, as it is a hard life being morbidly obese and everyone should have the chance to have life again.  PLEASE don't waste it!

I was 2 years out and maintaining between 139-143 lbs.
