*** I NO LONGER HAVE PITA - SHE WENT WITH MY EX... BUT I LOVE HER JUST THE SAME *** This is Pita. We tried so hard for months to find her a good home, and thought we had her the perfect home, but it didn't work out. After being abandoned, mistreated her & neglected her by her previous owners, we decided she had been through enough. Therefore, since we have spent SOOO much money on her, shots, grooming, maintenance, toys, doggie bones, and FOOD, and royally spoiling her to the extreme, we have decided to keep dear sweet Pita the puppy, since she has also grown so attached to us, she can't bear to leave our side, even for a moment now! We take her everywhere with us, to McDonald's, the Pet Store, and Arby's are her favorite! She absolutely loves riding in the car, with her head outside the window, seeing everything she can see! She begs to go outside for walks and to play. We have her a new apartment that is very pet friendly where she is going to be very happy, and she has blossomed so much since she has been able to come out of her shell from being scared of people and overcome her fear of abandonment, riding in cars (after having her leg broken by the previous owner). She still has this huge fear of certain men. We think this come of her previous treatment and possible abuse. That will come with time, but she is not even the same dog that she was when she first arrived many months ago, and we started helping trying to find a great home for her. So, after getting the previous owner's permission for us to find her a good home, he left her with the intention of not getting her back. At first he had hoped of getting her back, but after a long talk with him of his treatment of her and he did not care for her properly and how she deserved more, a loving home where she would be given the love and care she needed, he agreed to leave her with us to make the decision on her behalf. So after a long search for the right place (we are picky) and not just letting her go anywhere, and the one place not working out, we decided not to put her through that again and to just keep her with us. So, sweet Pita, who has found a home with us, will be moving with us, as we don't think she would be happy anywhere else at this point. We have spoiled above and beyond spoiling and she has us wrapped around her little "paws"! She no longer needs the cage, she is free to roam, she is totally trained and has her toys to play with that keeps her happy. Like I said, she is not the same dog that she months ago. She is still a puppy, but she's now a happy puppy. Not the caged, sad, quiet, scared puppy we first met back at Thanksgiving. She is playful, happy, and now a part of the family.
